I’m Esra, based in Istanbul, and I build AI-powered and backend systems.
My focus is where software engineering meets AI: building applications that can actually use data, retrieve the right information, connect different services, and turn models into something people can use.
Most of what I learn comes from building things myself. I’ve worked on RAG-based applications, AI chat systems, sentiment analysis, REST APIs, and backend services with .NET and Python. Along the way, I’ve learned that getting an AI model to answer a question is the easy part. Making the whole system reliable, fast, understandable, and useful is where the real engineering starts.
I’m especially interested in RAG, LLM applications, AI agents, backend development, and the systems behind them. I like taking an idea from “this could be useful” to something that actually runs.

AI RAG Chatbot
A retrieval-augmented generation system that combines document retrieval, embeddings, web search, and LLMs to answer questions with relevant context.
I work primarily with Python, C#, .NET, FastAPI, SQL, Git, and AI/LLM technologies, and I’m continuing to go deeper into RAG systems, AI agents, and production-oriented AI engineering.
I’m still early in the journey, but I’m building in public, breaking things, fixing them, and learning from every system I ship.
I’m interested in building useful software, learning how AI systems work under the hood, and turning ideas into things people can actually use.
